# Freshness and Completeness

> How far each answer reflects the chain, and when data is final.

Codex follows Polygon's **finalized** head, a few seconds behind the tip, so nothing it serves is ever rolled back. Polygon makes a block about every 1.5 s. Every answer tells you how far it reflects the chain:

| Field | On | Meaning |
| - | - | - |
| `block` | Market and wallet position routes | Positions are applied through this finalized block. |
| `block` | Trades, activity, fills, heat | The trades table's own cursor. It can run one batch ahead of positions. |
| `block`, `asOf` | Leaderboard and wallet stats | The board's rollup block, and when it ran (unix s). Open books are revalued every minute. |
| `complete` | Trades and activity | False while any gap in the trade history is still being filled. Table-wide, cached up to 30 s. |
| `completeThroughTs` | Fills, activity | Every row at or before this block time is in the table. Never advance a saved cursor past it. |
| `coveredFrom` | Activity | The block time from which splits, merges, redemptions and conversions are complete. |

<Warning>
  The live tape, [`/v1/stream/fills`](/streams/live-tape), is the exception: it publishes fills at the chain head, before finality, so it can repeat a block after a reorg. Deduplicate its fills by `(tx, logIndex)`.
</Warning>
